Drill Bit Holder...Holder

Drill Bit Holder...Holder

thingiverse

This is the first design I've 3D printed and also my first Thingiverse upload. I wanted to make something simple and easily designed, but useful. I have a lot of drill bits which come in these rubbery holders to secure them. I now have 5 of these holders and am waiting on a 6th in the mail, so I thought I'd make an organizer so I could easily put them on my worktable and see them all easily. This is what I came up with. It seems to me these rubber bit holders don't vary a lot in their design, so I made the space to house them 10mm x 85mm, which should accommodate most bit holders, but I would double check the measurements before you print. They should fit fairly tight, but one of mine was a bit loose, so i just bent it a little to create some tension against the walls and it stayed in fine. IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you flip this 90 degrees so it prints in the same orientation it would be when in use. I'm not sure how to edit how the STL orients, if anyone can tell me how I will change it.
