This drill jig / drill template is designed for 20x20mm aluminum extrusion. Just recently I fell in love with the magical aluminum extrusions. Lightweight, rather sturdy affordable and widely available. The martial I've used been ordered pre cut to final dimensions. the only concern and worry was to drill nice and perpendicular holes. Due to the lack of a drill press I needed something else. For this reason I've created the jig with 10/20mm pitch. The center of the holes are 20mm apart and 10mm from either end. The holes on the side are only to assist aligning. Ive ordered some "DIN 172-A Präzisions-Bohrhülse Bohrhilfe mit Bund" A drill bush made from hardened material with a long shaft and shoulder. The smaller one is 5.1mm in diameter and the larger one is 10mm in diameter. With my printer setting it is a very snug fit on the profile. Overall I was very pleased how well this little tool was working.
