Drill Jig for 20mm Piezo Disk
thingiverse
When crafting a Piezo Mount, I encountered difficulties aligning the hole in the disk centrally, so I designed an innovative solution that proved effective for me. I opted to print with PLA because attempting to melt the plastic would likely damage the disk. Ultimately, I discovered that utilizing a sharp wood drill bit secured in a tap holder resulted in a swift and precise outcome, taking mere seconds to complete. To ensure stability, you can employ brass inserts or nuts on top, but it's essential to tighten them firmly, verifying that the soldered leads are seated within the cutout and the disk remains stationary. An added benefit of this approach is that the chipping of ceramic material around the hole is significantly minimized.
