A remix of original by dmerand that allows better adjustment of laser diode in two directions. This is my first iteration so is a bit larger than I would have liked, but it works perfectly. It is designed to fit a 42mm diameter chuck. I printed the laser holder with supports, but the body parts without. Assemble using 3mm screws. The laser holder takes two LR44 button batteries which are connected via wires I melted into the plastic. The switch was something I had kept from some old electronics I salvaged any usable parts from. There is a hole to poke out the batteries when they need changing. 5V Diodes are available from a range of suppliers or ebay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5V-Laser-Module-Red-Dot-650nm-5mW-Laser-Pointer-Laser-Diode-5pcs/172264903779?hash=item281bc9d463:g:G94AAOSweWVXfHRe I have included Fusion 360 f3d and step files to allow you to modify if necessary. Nov 2019 Uploaded round body (instead of rectangular) which is better balanced and reduces vibration. There are 1/4" screw holes at the rear (opposite the laser holder) where you can screw in grub screws to assist in dynamic balancing to further reduce vibration.
