Which were, in this case, a 3D Printer, a (digital) dial indicator in the dimensions of the Harbor Freight model, and some 1/2" round steel bar stock. I couldn't find anything fitting the bill for this on Thingiverse already. If there is post up a link! Also, I may make an even simpler tool that uses a long 1/4" bolt with a printed part to keep it 40 degrees angled off the half inch round bar stock (which you then rotate to find square) if anyone's interested.
