I needed to drill into a door and I don't want to stray through the side of it. I didn't fancy paying £30 for something that others didn't like, so .... you know the rest. Drilling guide ... this version is for a bosch with a 43mm diameter collar and alignment blocks at 90degs around the collar. The FreeCad file is attached so you can rejig the gantry to fit your drill. If I have time, I will add a support for the rear of the drill to ensure 100% alignment. I had the 8mm smooth rod spare form another project. You will need some thread cutting bits and some bolts/grubscrews ... the bits and bolt sizes are your choice * UPDATE 2018 12 19 * I have added an alignment disk that sits in the base. When your 8mm drill passes through the 8mm hole without causing a disturbance to the disk, you know you have a 'true' axis. I have altered the gantry to have 3 fixing points and so the rods have grub screw holes should you find a need.
