Drip Hose Funnel

A friend needed a funnel adapted to fit a 5mm irrigation drip hose. His use case was to fill an inaccessible trap on a laundry room water drain.

They have a floor drain in the laundry room. The drip system has clogged due to mineral buildup. Therefore, they took some drip line, ran it down the drain and pour water into the drain to keep the trap full... so the sewer gas doesn’t come into the room. But, they needed a way to get about a cup of water into the 5mm tube. Hence this remix of irrigation adapter and the hydroponic funnel.

I have a couple versions posted, due to design iterations to meet my friend's needs. They all do the same job, just different form factors.

Number 4 is the final design (they all work) and holds 1.25 cups of water (10 ounces).

TinkerCAD sources:
Funnel #2
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/e4Q9gWAiNaa

Funnel #3
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/khYv4ZyC25w

Funnel #4
https://www.tinkercad.com/things/b69lMEI8uzj

Print instructions

Unassociated tags: drip funnel, drip hose connector, drip hose funnel

Category: Household Summary

A friend needed a funnel adapted to fit a 5mm irrigation drip hose.
