I've been trying to automate the watering of my garden, beginning with my greenhouse with approx 30 plants. I began with Gardena products, but want to make it so that anyone, including starving people in the 3rd world can have a garden which takes care of itself. I've documented my garden in the following wiki: https://www.appropedia.org/Gravity_fed_drip_irrigation,_semi-automated I haven't tested the parts yet, that will me done as spring comes and my garden begins for the summer. I hope it will run the entire summer using rainwater, that is if mother nature plays fair. I welcome your input if you can see a way to improve it! I especially hope that school kids will take up my cause and make this simple enough for any child to use. This could eliminate the deaths of thousands of children every day due to lack of a proper diet. This is my contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and hope it saves lives.
