Robotics Drivetrain A drivetrain I designed and built for my school’s robotics team between summer and fall of 2014. Designed with the rules and field from the 2014 FIRST Robotics Competition(game animation video) in mind. Also intended to maximize space for electronics and pneumatic systems available within the frame. I designed and built the entirety of the drivetrain with the exception of machining of the four, large plates that sandwich the wheels and gears. The drivetrain has a two-speed gearbox capable of 5 or 15 ft/s. In the actual version the cross members are replaced by 80/20 Extrusion as the original design broke. As this file is a mesh, it isn’t the most accurate with respect to round shapes. If you would like the CAD as a much more accurate STEP file, I have it on my dropbox.
