The part also fits certain dryers manufactured under the Kenmore (Sears) brand. I replaced the Door Handle with OEM produced part several times but in each case the Door Handle failed in a few month's time. How I Designed This Added Strength All the tabs were increased in width and the bottom tangs, which were previously hollow, are now solid. And additional a long latch was added to the middle of the top row of tabs. The purpose of this latch is to afford positive engagement of the top of the Door Handle with the dryer door. The Bolt-On version attaches to the door from the inside of the outer door panel. It requires removal of 4 inner door panel screws and the Inner panel to gain access to the inside of the outer panel.
