If my things saved you time, money, or a trip to the store and you'd like to let me know, you can leave me a tip using Thingiverse's "Tip Designer" button. I've enjoyed the ability to tip designers for the same reasons. This is a screw-in auger style drywall anchor for mounting picture frames, hooks, hangers, etc. in drywall. I use these to repair holes that have already pulled out using the smaller non threaded style anchors. This prints well without support. I recommend ABS with high infill percentage. Even chunky layer heights seem to work well, though the threads may look a little ugly. I haven't used PLA, but a very brittle, non-toughened PLA would probably be a poor choice. Lube up your mounting screw with some soap before drving it into the anchor - it will help reduce the torque required. You can modify the scaling of the part in your slicer to achieve larger/smaller sizes as needed.
