Dual Adjustable Buckle (Nylon Strap Extender)

Dual Adjustable Buckle (Nylon Strap Extender)

thingiverse

I had the need to extend an existing 1" nylon strap by some additional feet but did not want the hassle of sewing to a connector to do so. So I created this dual adjustable buckle for that purpose. By looping an existing strap through the buckle with an additional length as shown in the photos, you can extend as far as you need. I also designed the buckle to withstand a significant amount of pulling force (assuming the buckle is printed with 80-100% fill). Please note that the buckle can also be used with a single strap as a wrap for things such as sleeping bags or to attach items to racks and hangers. (Additional note: I designed this model parameterized in Fusion 360 so if anyone would like to make their own modified version (smaller, larger, stronger, etc.), let me know and I will post the model as well.) Printing Notes: 1. NO SUPPORTS NEEDED 2. Print with longer face of the buckle on the plate. Bridging will accommodate the small trenches on the bottom.
