Obviously this design expands on the model's version previously uploaded. The frame structure was replaced with a more rigid sub-assembly to provide better support to each heavy motor module. That frame supports each motor module using SK450 quadrotor arms sourced from the HobbyKing SK450 kit; which dramatically strengthened the frame and reduced its overall weight. The benefit of using existing off-the-shelf components obviously reduces engineering time spent on the design.Turnigy DST700KV brushless DC motors are still used for thrust production. M3 Steel bolts are used to fasten everything together, it's interesting to mention that most commercial quadrotor kits/frames use M2.5 threads which I tapped out to M3 because M2.5 bolts and fasteners are stupidly expensive. The steel bolts were subsequently changed to nylon M3 screws and corresponding thread was cut into the 3D printed plastic brackets in attempts to save weight.
