Dual_bushing_holder 8mm ID for Carbon Tubes test 1

This is a test. Until my carbon tubes arrives, I thought about not using them expensive IGUS bushings and printing them myself. (I know, I'm cheap..) So I modified the dual bushing holder to have these two 8.*mm x 10mm friction areas... Just a test, I'll see how it works when the tubes come in... Just thought I'd share in case someone else is thinking same... Cheers Update #3 26 Feb 2018 Been using the 10.45 PLA set for close to a year now with no problems. Really happy with results. Update #2 4 May 2017 Ok, after receiving the carbon tube 10mm OD I'v designed the bushings to fit 10mm. I have uploaded 10.45 and 10.40 ID. Right now installed on the Hypercube and working are the 10.45. printed in PLA, (yes PLA... hehehe) I had to clean the carbon tubes a little (sand paper) but I must say that it is now working very well. I will do some testing for the next few weeks and report back. Ha, and i'll try a get some pictures up also. Thanks all. Update #1 03 April 2017 After printing a few samples and testing on 8mm steel rods I noticed that for my printer, printing with 8.4mm ID fits perfectly.. I've also changed the inside shape for easier printing. I've uploaded other sizes so you may try with your printer.. Still, will wait for the carbon tubes to arrive and test some more. Reg Print Settings Printer: Hypercube Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .1 Infill: 100% Notes: Print in PLA or PETG.
