Dual Fan Mount for PrintrBot Simple 1405

This is a printable STL file fan mount that can be mounted to the front of the Printrbot Simple 1405 to keep the extruder tube and head cool to prevent filament jams. Instructions This mount is designed to accommodate two 40mm fans (I bought mine from Printrbot). Print the STL (I used 0.2mm height) and then you'll also need six 3.5mm X 0.5 X 20mm (or comparable) screws and nuts. Four of the screws will be used to attach the fan to the mount and the other two will be used to replace the shorter screws on the Printerbot in order to use the existing 1405 chassis holes. I've considered hinging the mount to allow for more accurate placement as well as aiding in clearance for printed part removal but for now it's working like a charm and I'm not having to run a box fan anymore. There are a multitude of options for powering your fans. It could be done with external wiring but if you chose to do that you should probably just consider using a box fan and forego all the added fun. I chose to connect mine to the Printrboard. This does require some wiring to mount the additional fans to the Printrboard but because you can goof your printer if you do it incorrectly, I'll just post a link here to a method posted by Nathaniel Chapman on Printrbot's website under the search term "Where to plug in an additional cooling fan on the Printrboard?". It's similar to how I approached it. http://help.printrbot.com/Answers/View/8873/Where+to+plug+in+an+additional+cooling+fan+on+the+Printrboard#answer9705 This is my first post on Thingiverse so any feedback is welcome but I can't promise I can respond in a timely manner as I'll be off using my Printrbot.
