Dual Filament Spool Spindle with Guides for Reprap

This individual initially attached two color spools on each side of their Mendel printer to have rapid access to dual colors. Subsequently, they added filament guides with a teardrop shape in tribute to RepRap. Despite low print quality while dealing with certain issues, the parts were still functional. The user has been using this setup for an extended period and finds it very efficient. However, they don't possess a dual extruder; the photo was only staged to appear as if both spools fed the extruder simultaneously. For installation, mount one part on each side of the Mendel, guide the filament from the bottom end of the spool through the opposite lower guide and then through the upper guide before feeding it into the extruder. The user color-coded their picture to indicate that filament should pass through the guide matching its spool's color.
