I tried building this mod: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1003914 however the pulley for the spindle side kept slipping. Since I had a second motor, I used the existing hardware to mount the motor and lead screw to the spindle . The brass nut that came with the T8 Lead screw (2mm pitch) didn't quite line up for mounting, so I created this adapter to connect the lead screw brass nut to the follower nut mount and the spindle for the second lead screw. You will have to drill through the follower nut mount and spindle to secure the brass nut with the adapter. Please see the attached pics.
