Duck Call

Duck Call

Update: I have been given a chance to 3-D printed this duck call myself at my school and after looking over the design of the duck call I have seen that the reed is way to small for the duck call. So I have changed this and increased the size to .012 inches. Also I have had to increase the gap in the insert to .255 inches. I will leave the first file for the insert just in case for some reason someone wanted it and will be putting the new reed file up. Original: This is a duck call I modeled for the "make it loud" challenge. The program I used to make each part was Autodesk Inventor 2015. I decided to make a duck call because it seems as if the mechanics behind how they work is very simple. There is a thin plastic chip inside that moves up and down really fast with the force of a person's breath. I have attempted to make a model that will work as a real duck call once 3-D printed and fully constructed. I don't have a 3-D printer so I haven't been able to try and see if this model actually works. I hope there are people out there willing to print it out and test to see if it does work. And if anyone does try it please leave a comment of how the trial went.
