This insert features thoughtfully designed trays which interlock to keep your game pieces from spilling during storage or transport, even if you store the game vertically and accidentally let the lid slide a few inches off of the game box. Trays slide quickly and easily apart so that you can set up your game in a fraction of the time, and market trays make resources and cards easy to display and grab. Slide a player tray in front of each player and they have their starting cards, all player pieces, and convenient slots in which to slide intrigue cards that they may acquire during the game. Slide the two market trays onto the table next to each other and the solari tokens, water tokens, spice tokens, The Spice Must Flow Cards, Arrakis Liason Cards, and Foldspace Cards are ready to go! The market trays also have vertical slots along the back so that you can display the 5 Imperium Row cards for easy viewing and access. Convenient tray geometry makes it so that any pile of cards within a tray will tilt up and out of the tray for easy grabbing if you push down on the top edge of the cards (see close-up picture of market trays in use). There are compartments to separate out all expansion components if desired, or all expansion dreadnoughts and discs can fit within each player's tray. If you choose to separate the Imperium cards by expansion, there are various compartment sizes in the two Imperium Card sleeves that will fit each expansion's cards separately. If you choose to store the Imperium cards in any combination of Base + Rise of Ix + Immortality, then the main Imperium Card sleeve can comfortably hold 92 sleeved cards, which is far more than are needed for a single game. Any excess or unused cards can be stored in the secondary sleeve between games until it's time for them to be shuffled in with the main deck. House Hagal card sleeve has compartments for separating out unused expansion cards. "Extra" storage box has compartments for unused starter cards and unused intrigue and conflict cards. Everything fits snug in the base game's box without any lid-lift. NOTES: Purchase includes the digital STL files only (not a physical product). Distribution of these files and/or reselling of the printed parts is not allowed. For the trays with interlocking features on the bottom, any warping during the print process may make it difficult to slide the trays together. I recommend that you make sure that your print surface is clean, bump your heated bed temperature up about 10 degrees C above normal (I used 70C), and use brims when printing the 4 larger trays. A single layer brim of 2mm around the part worked fine for me and allowed the larger parts to still fit on my Prusa mini+ (180mm x 180mm build plate). I also wiped my build plate down once with Acetone before printing the set of larger trays.
