I've recently got into making dungeon tiles out of air dry clay. I found plenty of rollers but struggled to find any grids that I liked to mark 1" squares on the tiles after stamping the pattern out so I designed my own. The cutters are 4x4-inch squares (roughly 10.16cm) and the grids are 1-inch squares (roughly 2.54cm). The “Minimal 2.5x2.5 1-inch Grid.stl” grid is a 2x2 grid with the edges extended in case you prefer something like that. If anyone has a burning need for different dimensions then it wouldn't be hard to alter the TinkerCAD files, but they should tesselate pretty well to anything larger and I doubt many folk would need smaller as you can just stamp the grid into areas that you are going to cut off and it won't harm anything.

This collection has two stamps and two cutters. At the time of writing, I've only printed the “4x4 1-inch Grid.stl” as that was all I needed in the end.

All of them should print fine on an FDM printer without supports but watch out - the bottom parts are rounded off so you can get a nicer finish - you'll probably want to flip the files in your slicer so they're on their backs. The cutters have a thinner grid pattern to give them strength but keep the grid away from the clay/foam surface in case you don't want a grid in it, and the curved bottoms are stretched so they're a bit more of a knife-like design. The “4-inch Cutter With Handle.stl” will want supports whichever way up you try to print it unless you really trust your printer's bridging abilities and print it the same way up that the STL is setup!

If you want to print them on an SLA printer, they should print fine flat to the print surface if your printer is large enough (again, with the exception of the one with a handle. You'll definitely want to flip them) but my Photon M3 won't quite manage to fit any of the 4" ones so you'll probably need to tilt and support them. Again, I can do a 3x3 or a 2x2 so they'll fit on something smaller if there's a call for it (and you don't want to use the smaller grid I've included).

Please upload pics of finished prints and the results of using them - I'd love to see if you've made my works!
