Dungeons & Dragons Dice Container
thingiverse
I printed Jaseheuer's remix at 115%, since I have a lot of dice on hand, but the first time I printed it, I encountered three issues. 1. Initially, I printed the lid first to experiment with dual-color printing, having never done that before. So, I printed it in black using support with the opening down to pause the printer and print the D&D logo in red on top. However, when I took the print off the printer and removed the support, I noticed that the logo profile extended through the lid so it was visible inside the container. 2. Next, I printed the ring of bricks to go around the lid using gray filament, but when I went to assemble it with the lid, I found there were three holes on each side where the part was just too thin and I could see the black lid through the ring. Despite assembling the ring onto the lid anyway, it was super tight and I couldn't get it off afterwards. 3. Lastly, I printed the cylinder, but when I tried to screw the assembled lid onto it, the threads jammed about 1.5 turns in. I had never used MeshMixer before, so I installed it and used it to remove the logo from inside the lid. However, I only managed to remove most of it; there's still a small bit left that I missed, but it is much better than it was before. I also plugged the holes in the ring using MeshMixer and reprinted both parts at 116%. This resolved my issue with the threads not fitting. Both modified files are attached, along with the original cylinder for completeness' sake.
