Durafly Tundra Battery Tray

Durafly Tundra Battery Tray

thingiverse

A battery tray designed to hold a standard 2200mah pack in the cavernous body of the Durafly Tundra. You need to print the tray, glue it together, fit a pack and then figure out where to put the tray to get the right CoG. The design is printed in two halves, then glued together with cyano. To aid locating it before glueing It has 'pins' to locate it into the fuse foam once you have the right CoG. Press it down so the pins dig into the foam. Then remove the tray and apply glue to the base. You will then be able to feel the holes you made to get it back in the right place while the glue dries. A velcro strap should be used to hold the pack in. It doesn't need to be super tight unless you want the battery and tray to pass through the nose of the aircraft as a matched pair when you crash hard. (lol). It would probably work in any situation where you want to secure a standard 2200 lipo pack to a flat surface with a bit more security than a strap alone provides.
