Dust Shoe for my CNC Router with a DWP611. Fits a Ridgid shop vac hose. Assembly of the top requires 2 long 5mm socket cap screws and 5mm nylock nuts. I measured and cut down 90mm cap screws with a hacksaw to roughly 77mm so that they fully engaged the nylock nut but did not stick out. The assembly them clamps to the router just above the collet lock button. Tap the holes in the Bottom for 1/4-20 and screw in 1/4-20 machines screws pointing upwards. The screws then slip fit through the holes in the top, and I spin on a normal 1/4-20 nut. It only needs to be barely finger tight. A wing nut would be nicer, but with the reduced size and the size of the vacuum hose connection there is not enough clearance. If modified for a smaller vacuum hose, a wing nut should fit. This connection doesn't have quite the cool factor as rare-earth magnet alternatives, but it's rock solid and cheap (I had all the parts in my random hardware bin). To assemble the brush, I cut 3-inch strips of 2mm eva craft foam, and cut 2-inch deep slits every 1/2-inch to make the brushes. Hot glue on 2 layers around the outside of the bottom part. I've found this to work pretty well, keeps it's shape well enough to form the vacuum boot, but is flexible enough it's not going to provide any meaningful resistance to the router dropping down. It's also possible that the brushes could get pushed into a longer router bit, but they are soft and will cut easily instead of pull if they come in contact with the bit. If you use a wide range of bit lengths, you might make multiple bottom pieces with different length brushes. Print with a decent number of walls and tops/bottoms so that it's pretty solid.
