If there is anything I don't like about the RC hobby, it's going to be the disposable batteries. Convert your DX5 Pro to use a Lithium Ion battery with a charging board inside the remote! Using Spektrum's Rechargeable LiIo pack for the DX6( SPMA9602), you can use the internal components for this easy mod, no soldering required. All that is required is to trim a bit of plastic as shown to get the board to fit flat. You can add some foam to keep the battery from rattling around. Do make sure to go to Function List>System Settings>Display>Battery and Alarm to set up you controller for Lithium Ion.
