Photos are of original Dynaco buttons. Here is a prototype set of Dynaco PAT-5 Preamplifier Button Set to print out these difficult to find replacements. These preamplifiers were very popular kits available thorugh the 1970s until the late eighties. There are still many of them out there and hobbyists still rebuild them to this day. Unfortunately the plastic buttons get very brittle with age and it is getting increasingly hard to find replacements. I therefore decided to builda set for an aqauiantance I know who needed repalcements. I used a set of calipers to measure uo one of my buttons and built this model based on thise measurements. I have included 8 buttons in this design since that is how many buttons are on a PAT-5. This way all the buttons will match well. Video explanation of the model can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/I1pjdxxq92I I did not pursue trying to size the hole perfectly after a few failed attempts at getting the size just right. I simply used the base hole as a pilot hole and bored it out with a 11/63 inch drill bit -that made it fit the button posts perfectly. Use the v2 model as that seems to work best - it is slightly bigger than the original but not by much. The model indicated as final has the square hole pattern on the back that best fits the PAT-5 square posts for my printer.
