I am pleased to present the files for the Lunar Lander model. It has taken many hours of computer aided design work to achieve the final result. I hope the model works well and someone enjoys the space craft. It is important to mention that the Lunar Lander model has been created from the freely available on-line video clips and as such will not be an accurate dimensional representation. A feature of this model design is that it is very economical from a filament usage perspective; however, the trade-off is a more complex assembly construction. The model design was created to fit onto the bed of my Creality Ender 3 Pro 3D Printer. If required the stl files can be sliced down to a smaller scale. Prints have been successfully produced at full size using a 0.4mm nozzle. When a 60% print was produced the Attitude Control Thruster nozzles were not fully reproduced. Therefore when printing (say) 60% and below, a 0.2mm nozzle was used. Where more than two parts are required, simply repeat the print because none of the parts require mirroring before slicing. As of writing this forward, the Solar Array Panel model design was updated (Solar_Arry_Mk2.stl refers) to reflect the shape of the Lunar Lander’s Solar Array panels. Although the updated stl file has not been printed, I do not foresee any problems. I have attached assembly instructions to record the best way that I found of constructing the model.
