This connector plugs into the socket of a Dyson AM10. It does need a magnet where the recess is to activate the fan. Then a hose can be pushed into connector. The point of this design is to make a bed fan out of the Dyson AM10. The hose can be placed under your bed sheets and then bingo you have a bed fan! It works really well, the AM10 has a ton of power to pump air under your sheets. 11.9MM magnet is needed
