Dyson V10 Soft Brush Bearing Cap

Dyson V10 Soft Brush Bearing Cap

Recently I've noticed something was stuck in my Dyson V10 soft brush tool. After disassembling I've found that one part was totally broken. Turned out it was bearing cap. One end of the brush roller is connected to a motor spinner, the other end rotates freely - that's what the bearing cap is being used for. Printed a spare, tested - works great! PLEASE NOTE: This part should be quiet precise otherwise fixing bearing in might get into breaking the outside walls (inner diameter is too small) or bearing not being fixed in place firmly (inner diameter is too large). Since each printer configuration / filament flow is different and you end up running into one of the two scenarios I've just mentioned - you might want to adjust the diameter by very slight value (like +-0.2mm) Cap should go on bearing and sit tight. PRINTING ORIENTATION: with side ear pieces and holes up. No worries, no supports are needed. I've also outlined all the steps how i did it. Of course, unplug the brush from your vacuum cleaner before disassembling and be very careful to not break anything. At this point I don't know whether it will or will not with soft brushes other than V10. Let me know and good luck! :)
