E-Bike Pedal Assist (PAS) Magnet holder

E-Bike Pedal Assist (PAS) Magnet holder

This is an odd thing. If you're building an e-bike, you probably know about "pedal assist systems." Basically magnets in a ring spin around and your cadence is detected by a Hall sensor (or two). Problem: some controllers don't tell you how many magnets they expect in the ring. 5? 8? 12? So I invented this thing that allows you to place 5x2mm magnets in the channel and spacers keep them apart, so you can easily experiment with the number of magnets. Spaces are included in the files for 5- and 8- magnet versions, but it should be hard for you to tweak them for other configurations. The two halves of the disc are symmetrical, so I only included one here. Obviously, you'll want to print two of them. For 5 magnets, print 5 5-magnet spacers, etc. All parts are designed to print without supports, but YMMV.
