E-Steps Calibration Snap-On Ruler

E-Steps Calibration Snap-On Ruler

Due to the small size of my room, My printers are in often cramped positions, requiring me to have to fidget around with the filament, callipers and marker whenever Im about to perform a E-Steps Calibration Test. That's why I decided to design this simple snap on ruler which allows you to easily mark 100mm on your filament. The correct way to do this is to snap on the ruler onto your filament, position one clip to flat against your extruder/PTFE tube and then mark the inward side of the other clip. This should give you a measurement of around 100mm within the range of 1mm. It's really cheap and quick to print, using only about 1g of material and taking around 10mins to print. It provides a somewhat accurate way to calibrate your E-steps if you don't have any measuring tools at hand, callipers are still the best way to go as each printer's tolerances and dimensional accuracy will affect the accuracy of this ruler. Current model only supports 1.75mm filament Any feedback would be great, as it's my first published model :)
