This is the ".duct" 40mm fan duct for the E3D V6 hot end from Aynareth with a couple of small changes. Most importantly, the holes for screwing the fan onto the original were too large to fit M3 screws, at least in my case. The screws were loose in the holes. Larger screws that threaded into the duct did not fit through my fan, so I made the holes smaller. (2.6mm ID) so a self tapping M3 size screw will thread into them. They are 6mm deep as on the original, so you'll need screws that stick out the back of your fan no more than 6mm for mounting. I also rounded the corners slightly (2.5mm x 2.5mm) to match the contour of my fan. I'm using a 40mm Noiseblocker silent fan which is very quiet, it really is silent. It doesn't move as much air as the stock 30mm fan did, but it doesn't seem to be an issue so far, though I've only printed PLA. A regular 40mm fan should move a lot more air than this silent one, and still be quieter than the 30mm fans.
