This is my variant of a tool holder for the Hemera extruder. Newest Version is the one with "release" appended, the holder itself can be reinforced with two long M3 screws. Update ReleaseV2: --------- Thicker adaptor bracket to get stronger clamping IMPORTANT: ========== I printed my mount with 50% infill and 5 perimeters in PETG. It's perfectly fine for slow and smooth movements at higher speeds, but abrupt movement (e.g., solid infill) at higher speed leads to significant backlash in Y and minor backlash in X, ultimately leading to non-connected solid infill on one side. It seems like my choice of PETG was not the best. The majority of the wobble comes from insufficient clamping force of the lever due to its deformation after a few times unmounting/mounting. (The mount can move almost a millimeter inside the carriage, causing kind of a rotating movement) I solved this partially by loosening the upper right screw (looking from the back) of the Hemera mounting points. Now it protrudes slightly from the surface and adds some additional clamping. A few important bits: You will lose some space in Y, Set your bed size to max 205 (with Y-Belt Tensioner) X will stay the same (one of my main design goals) However, you might need to adjust your endstop. Probe Offsets are: -------------------------- __X: -45.2__ __Y: +15__ __Z: -1 (for safety)__ This is a work in progress, I have some ideas to stiffen it further and reduce weight in the future, but for now it works. Fusion360 source and renders will be added as soon as I'm on my Windows PC.
