This part is a custom mount to adapt an E3D Titan extruder to the direct drive Ultimaker 2 extruder designed by Jasonatepaint. The filament path is fully guided from the extruder drive gear to the hotend by a short length of PTFE tubing. I used a pancake style Nema17 motor to keep weight at a minimum. I used the original Bowden PFTE as a feeder line to the extruder. Apart from the titan mount all other parts are per PG35L Direct drive extruder design. Post-Printing Preparing printed part; Use 4mm drill to clean hole for PTFE tube Use 3mm drill to clean mounting holes in base Use 3mm drill through lower left stepper screw mount hole (looking from back) Use 4 -4.5mm drill through other stepper mount holes (this allows for adjustment to the gear mesh later) Assembly guide; Assemble the E3D V6 hotend into the X-Y carriage Prepare your PTFE tube, the tube will extend into the extruder body by approx 16mm. (I inserted an excessive length fully into the hotend then trimmed it back progressively until it fit well with the Titan parts) Fix the Extruder body to the mount with the short M3 screw into the stepper motor. (Refer Titan instruction) Fit the Bowden collar and filament guide to the Titan Extruder body Check the PTFE guide is all the way into the hotend Install mount with extruder body over the PTFE tube and fix with M3x50 screws and nuts into the x-y carriage Follow Titan instruction to complete
