I use the same fan for cooling the hotend and for cooling the printing job in progress and I use a duct which is attached directly to the hotend so I don't need the original "ears" that comes with the design. On the other hand, I have a bunch of wires that I wanted as tidy as I could...this is the solution I've found out to this purpose. If you want to print this modification, your printer has to be able to print good bridges since you will find four bridges of around 5 mm each one on this design.
