I'm really pleased with my e3d V6 carriage mount for duplicator / ctc setup - it's been working fantastically well so far. One of the main benefits is that the motor & drive block isn't sitting behind the heatsink, which means it stays cooler overall. However, I did experience a problem with the spring loaded drive block arms warping over time and losing tension on the filament, so I had to replace them fairly frequently. I've also found that changing filament has become much easier since using this setup - you can clearly see what you're doing at all times, which is a big improvement. Plus, there's no longer any risk of breaking fan blades or having to dismantle the fan to access the motor, which was always a bit of a hassle. I've recently updated my design with the adder V2, making a slight alteration to the original layout. I added a lip to prevent the bushes from coming loose over time. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.19 Infill: 100 Notes: Please be aware that the hot end drops down quite low below the carriage, approximately 15mm, so you'll need to adjust your print bed accordingly. I made this design change because I use sequential printing a lot and needed at least 15mm of clearance.
