nakwada's hotend mount was great for me! Unfortunately, it mounted the facing the opposite direction from most other designs out there, so I modded it a bit to allow for a flipped orientation. Achieved Goals: Be compatable with bearing blocks instead of just Linear Bearings, like most designs. Flip the hotend so that the motor is on the left, leaving the filament tensioning screw to be on the right, which seems more standard. Lower the whole hotend, since the nozzle did not reach low enough on the original design. Work with Isograph's cooling fan mount. I made this to work with my Afinbot A3 Prusa i3 clone. I made two designs: one that doesn't need many supports, and one that does. I only printed the one that doesn't need supports. I made the other design because the top of the mount made it hard to manually turn the gear that extrudes filament. Since that bit of the model isn't actually important (it's only there to save supports) I removed it. I haven't tried printing the other design, but I would recommend trying that one first. Note: Both designs lack any supports on the bits where the mount hold the belts. I used Simplify3D, so I had no issues putting little supports there. Other than that, the other bits shouldn't need supports (except for the bottom of the "needs supports" model). Note: There's one hole inside the spacing rectangles for a screw to go through to attach one of the linear bearing blocks. I made the hole bigger, but on my original design it did not fit my screws. I assume it shouldn't break my design in any way, but if it still isn't large enough let me know so I can make it bigger. How I Designed This I just used Blender to quickly move around bits of nakwada's design. I've attached the blender file. It's got the original, and some oriented versions I used along the way. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about it!
