Eachine E013 (Tiny Whoop) Canopy/Mullet/Hood

<p>This is a model of the hood for the Eachine E013 or like frames with a camera. I have added the 3rd hole on the front right of the hood for the receiver antenna to come through. This hole allows for a range boost on the drone. Final weight is around 2 grams with PLA. This is heavier than the stock cover but is stronger. The drone has no problems flying with it. I see no battery life changes between the covers. I have included the Fusion 360 file for the hood too for modification. You can make neat designs on the hood by switching your filament out part way through the print to get stripes. You can also do that same technique but in your slicer, rotate the model a little bit to get diagonal stripes. I printed my supports at a density of 5-10%</p></div> How I Designed This</h3> <p><strong>How It Was Made</strong></p> <div><p>I designed this by taking 3 pictures of the original hood (Top, Side, and Front). I brought them into Fusion 360. I made a line of a known dimension to scale the pictures to the correct size. From there, I spent about an hour tracing pictures, extruding, and measuring. For the first time, the hood fit the drone perfectly! I made a few adjustments (Added hole for antenna, made camera hole smaller for tighter fit, etc.) and then it was perfect!</p></div></p></p> Category: R/C Vehicles
