Earth Board Game Organizer

Earth Board Game Organizer

thingiverse

This is my attempt at an organizer and some component replacements for the Earth board game. This supports sleeves (liners). The concept is to have half of the components available on each side of the table. I was influenced by Patella’s design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5941998) with respect to the packup style. This organizer consists of the following parts (other than those of other listed above): Holder_EarthCards [print 4]: Holds the Earth Cards both in the box and on the table to keep it neat and clean. I printed one in a different colour (black) to represent the discard pile. They will hold sleeved cards, but it will be a bit tight. In the box these will fit in around the Holder_SoilGrowth. Holder_EcoCards [print 1]: Holds the Ecology cards. Supports sleeves. In the box this will sit on one edge with the other non-earth card holders. Holder_FaunaSoloCards [print 1]: Holds both the Fauna cards and Solo Cards separately. Supports sleeves. In the box this will sit on one edge with the other non-earth card holders. Holder_IslandClimateMonthCards [print 1]: Holds the Island cards, Climate cards, and the Month cards (kickstarter promo) separately. Supports sleeves. In the box this will sit on one edge with the other non-earth card holders. Holder_ScorePad [print 1]: Holds the score pad and a short pencil. In the box it sits above or below the Player Tray stack. Holder_SoilGrowth [print 2]: Each one will hold half of the Growth (Sprouts, Trunks and Canopies) and Soil (Single, 5x, and 10x) components in separate cavities. On the table, they will allow each side of the table access to the components, equally. In the box they will stack up and the other holders will surround them. Holder_GameComponents [print 1]: This holds the 1st player token, and the Active player token, and anything else that doesn’t otherwise have a spot. In the box this will stack up with the Player Trays (Player_Soil and Player_Compost) Player_Compost [print 5, preferably 1 in each player colour]: This holds an initial stack of composted cards, instead of an unruly pile of loose cards. This could be printed again to hold event cards, but there is no dedicated space in the organizer to store additional ones in the box. This supports sleeves. In the box it acts as a lid on the Player_Soil to hold the player Leaf tokens. They will, with the Holder_GameComponents create a 2x3 stack on top of or below the Holder_ScorePad. Player_Soil [print 5, preferably 1 in each player colour]: In game this holds the soil tokens for the player. In the box it holds the leaf tokens as part of the “Player Tray”. Note:The term Player Tray here represents the combination Player_Compost and Player_Soil in the box. SoilToken [print 50-100]: Not necessary, but this is a copy of the wooden soil tokens that comes with the kickstarter promo. 75 of them came with the promo, but there is much more space in the holder for these, so I printed an additional 75. If you don’t have the promo, recommend you print 100-150 in place of the cardboard circles. Soilx5 [print 30 or so]: I made these to replace the 5x Soil cardboard circles as it felt wrong using those with the soil tokens. You probably don’t need more than 30 of these, but the Holder_SoilGrowth’s can easily hold up to 60 or 70 between the two holders. Soilx10 [print 20 or so]: I made these to replace the 10x Soil cardboard circles as it felt wrong using those with the soil tokens. You probably don’t need more than 20 of these, but the Holder_SoilGrowth’s can easily hold up to 40 split between the two holders. SproutCubes {print 100-150]: Not necessary, but this is a replica of the sprout cubes provided. When I play with 4 players, I find we almost run out of these. Plus, my holder holds all 150 included in the game in one of the two holders, so an additional 150 will fill up both. I’ve included pictures showing the insert pack-up steps.
