<p>After designing the body of the pen, I then cut it in half to integrate a threaded twist/push mechanism to hold pen refills (Parker ballpoint, Pilot G2, etc.). It does need a spring to allow it to retract the pen tip, so I used the spring from a freebie twist/push pen, but any should work. If you want it to fit without any threads showing (like in the photos), either use a longer refill or add some broken bits of support material from another print.
