Easy to print Fat Cat

Easy to print Fat Cat

cults3d

This is a revised model of Fat Cat thing 901128 that I used for printing. It resolved slicing issues I had with Simplify and prints well without support. The changes from the original thing 901128 are as follows: Removed the base plate to allow the cat to be freely situated. Passed the modified file through Netfabb STL fixer, which eliminated severe STL errors that were confusing Simplify3D slicer. Flattened the bases of the feet, belly, and head for easier printing. Scaled up the model to a size I prefer (you can still scale up or down during slicing as needed). Rotated 90 degrees along the Z-axis to fit my FFCP build plate orientation. Here is the OpenSCAD script I used to make these modifications: K = 2.27; intersection() { scale([K, K, K]) rotate([0, 0, -90]) translate([0, 0, -0.9]) import("FatCat2_fixed.stl", convexity=3); cylinder(d=130, h=70); }
