Echo-Class Robotic Arm (Costume and Prop)

Echo-Class Robotic Arm (Costume and Prop)

thingiverse

A replica robotic arm with complete articulation. The arm works as both a prop and a wearable costume piece, or at least, that's the idea. The model contains several rotation points for good range of motion. Inside the arm is a group of rings that can be attached to small loops within the fingers, allowing wearers to manipulate the fingers similarly to that of a normal, biological hand. To work the hand, take a thin but sturdy material, preferably fishing line, and run it through the small rings on the inside of the fingers. Each of these lines should end in a grip ring, which can be worn around the fingers while you wear the arm. It should be noted that the arm, if scaled correctly, should be longer than the wearer's arm, as the hand does not accommodate the wearer's hand unless it is removed. Special Notes: The following files should be printed multiple times, each as directed: x5 Grip Ring.stl x9 Joint Bar.stl x5 Proximal Phalange.stl x5 Middle Phalange.stl x5 Distal Phalange.stl PLEASE NOTE: There are several minor mistakes in the design that may make building it difficult. I will see to amending these oversights soon. For now, enjoy the model, and I'll get to making this thing more wearable! I'm open for ideas and criticism, so don't be afraid to comment anything that you'd like to see me add or fix in the design!
