My Name is Ben, And i've been doing professional knife sharpening for 8+ years. One of my favorite tools while working on customer knives was my modified, knock-off Edge Pro Apex. As we all know, however, time is the great destroyer, and many years later, I am missing vital parts for that trusty device. That's where this print comes in. Designed to fit on a stock Ruixin RX-008, using the included hardware, the Edge Faux Fapex was created in order to mimic the versatility and efficiency of the Edge Pro Apex, using a commonly available base; The Ruixin RX-008. after many many attempts, two versions, and 5 revisions, I have come up with what I believe to be a wonderful device that well mimics the sliding table design of the EPA (Edge Pro Apex). Those of you that know me, know that I hate having to use hardware with my 3d prints, so I designed this to be completely 3d printed. Not a screw, spring, or bearing in sight.
