This is EDGE X, a compact, low cost 3D printer. It has a few new features... Coming to instructables soon. -Update - May 1st 2017- This project has NOT been abandoned. Far from it. I just updated the .svg file and main image. The Edge X line will go along side of the Edge V line, V4 will probably be published this summer if I'm ambitious enough, or next spring. This currently has my focus. -Hint: V4 will have smooth linear rods on both sides of z axis. It only costs $4 more and if it is broke without it, it's worth it.- This printer (5 of them, plus a 3.0) will be presented at Vancouver Maker Faire on June 10 and 11th at the Edge 3D Printers booth. The new features are: auto-levelling, newer MK8 extruder (spring/lever for easy filament swapping), larger build area despite smaller footprint, no z-wobble (still working on bolting method for z bearings, currently friction-fit; reason of minor wobble. Just being honest.), and a design that subjectively looks better.
