Egg Puzzle (Karakuri)

My attempt at the Karakuri Japanese puzzle. Printed with supports, min. 40% infill and max .2 layer height. Print tapper sides up. This will help the looks of the layer lines. Included in the flies are top and bottom of the egg. I also included 2 flies of sizing guide pegs, that you will need to copy in metal not aluminum from rod or something, I used a 20d nail cut to the length of the pegs. The bottom of the egg has 1 bigger hole for the prize (baby chick). The other 2 holes are for 3x2mm magnets to be glued, only 1 is needed for the puzzle to work. If you want to make it harder, glue 1 magnet in each hole. The top of the egg has 2 holes for the metal pegs, both are needed. 1 in each. The more rounded you make the pegs the less it will stick to the magnet, this will judge the difficulty. The flatter the peg the harder the difficulty. !!! Before assembling the puzzle, make sure the metal pegs slide freely in all 4 holes. Check the strength of the magnet by sticking the metal peg on the magnet with the puzzle open and tap the egg on a flat surface with the magnets facing up and the pegs facing down towards the flat surface. It will take a hard tap, like cracking an egg. The pegs will fall off the magnet during the tap. This is the solution for solving it. If everything is in working smoothly and there are no burrs you are ready to assemble the puzzle. Start with the bottom. Put the prize (chick) flat in the hole. No matter if you used only one magnet or both in the bottom side, you will need both pegs in the top side one in each hole, they will be roughly 3mm lower than the surface if not the peg is to long or there is a burr. Then slide the egg together and turn it a 180 degrees and you will hear the pegs click the magnet or magnets. The puzzle is now ready to be solved. Make sure you remember what side you have to tap (crack) it on to open, a seam line is a great reference point for that. ENJOY!
