My attempt to fix some slicing weirdness with the no support version by Gelb153 was made using the updated V2 eggbot frame posted by jjrobots, which boasts improved electronics holes and slightly different tailstock features. Ss3d had issues slicing the model, so I added a model sent through MakeItPrintable; it's called EggBot_MainFrame_V2_Easy_Print_Repair. This model slices well in Ss3d but has the artifact of part of the bottom no longer being hollowed out. Fortunately, this should not affect function and may improve overall print time. From printing and the model, I noticed that the electronics holder still needs supports to print correctly. Feedback is welcome! How I Designed This I designed this using 3d Modeling edit in DesignSpark Mechanical (freeware!), which was surprisingly easier to convert the STL and add components than SolidWorks 17! I had to run it through makeprintable.com to get the STL to slice right. It's a nice service with a free option as long as you don't need to do more than 3 repairs per month.
