This 5-point eggholder looks like a remix of the 4-point eggholder, but the construction is less robust. Though it has 5 legs, the constriction takes less space on the material. My build was done on a desktop cnc-machine by Stepcraft from 6 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 1 mm flute. A laser cutter might be a good alternative tool. It is free for personal use and – if you understand the principals of parametric design – pretty straight forward. As you can see the design is based on basic shapes. The size was determined by the size of a standard-sized egg.
