Eigenharp Tau to Manfrotto Quick Release Adapter

Eigenharp Tau to Manfrotto Quick Release Adapter

After only 48 hours of owning an Eigenharp Tau, it has become obvious that my old man neck and arthritic shoulders are incompatible with the Tau neck strap. I want to stand to play, so I decided that I needed to find something to hold the Tau for me. Using a CAD program and a 3D printer, I've created a Tau to Manfrotto Quick Release Tripod adapter. With the Manfrotto ball joint head on a standard photographic tripod, the Tau can be positioned perfectly and solidly in just about any position. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: TAZ 4 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: low Infill: 60% Notes: I printed this thing fairly solid so that it is strong. I don't want to trust this expensive instrument to a weak plastic adapter Post-Printing Installation steps: Remove the existing quick release bracket for the Tau neck strap. Acquire some longer replacement screws (M3 .5x20mm) and some washers. Fit the adapter into the location of the original bracket and insert the screws/washers. Fit the adapter into the tripod and tighten the friction lever. The lock lever will snap into place making a very secure mount. You're done. The Eigenharp Tau can now be held at virtually any angle or height.
