EL Wire Platform Spring Stilts

At 15 inches tall, these platform stilts are sure to elevate your costume this Halloween! EL wire and Glow filament make them the perfectly suited for a fun time in the dark. Dual stilt is easy to walk on, and you can wear it all night whether you are at a party or on the town looking for candy. Print Settings Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 30% Notes: i used a 30% infill with 4 perimeters and 4 top and bottom layers for all of the parts and they support my weight just fine. if you want these to be even more heavy duty, increase the infill on the springs. Print 2 of each piece for a full set of stilts Post-Printing Stilt Assembly after parts are printed, use hot glue to attach the correct lengths of EL wire in the slots on the springs. feed EL wire through hole in center of the foot piece and solder to controller. Pull EL wire tight through this hole as you use epoxy to cement each spring into it's hole. insert a velcro strap into slots on the top of each foot. while wearing shoes, slide your feet in and you're off! How I Designed This When I saw this challenge i knew i wanted to build a pair of stilts. Rather than a single pole, traditional stilt i decided to build a shorter, dual support stilt, as stilt walking takes a lot of work and i was looking for something I could wear longer at a party. I began with drywall stilts as the inspiration. Then i thought, I should totally make holes in them so you can see through them. that evolved into this design, which is meant to look a little like springs. They are a lot of fun to walk on, and EL wire is incorporated to make your haunted adventures glow in the dark!
