Elektron Model:Cycles / Model:Samples Battery Handle

thingiverse

This is a DIY version of Elektron's as-yet-unreleased battery handle for Model:Cycles and Model:Samples. It is designed to hold any "lipstick" sized USB phone battery bank, such as the [Anker Powercore+ Mini](https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powercore--mini-3350/A1104011) as well as many other "lipstick" or cylindrical style batteries. Any charger that is less than will fit in a 1 inch tube will work. You will need to provide the following in addition to the 3D printed parts found on this thing: - [USB to 5.5x2.1 power cable](http://myvolts.com/product/38799/Power_Supply_and_Chargers/USB_to_5V_DC_power_cable_compatible_with_the_Elektron_Model:Samples_Sampler) - [USB Phone Battery](https://www.anker.com/products/variant/powercore--mini-3350/A1104011) or any other cylindrical charger less than 1" in diameter - 1x m3x20mm screw (might be able to get away with slightly shorter or longer) and 1x m3 nut I've included an m3 screw/nut knob handle STL, but you can substitute any other m3-based knob from thingiverse if you don't like the style. I also included an STL for the tube portion. If you'd rather buy a tube than spend the additional print time or don't have access to a big enough printer, you can substitute any 1" inner diameter tube - PVC, copper, aluminum, steel, etc. The bracket pieces are designed to friction fit, but depending on your tube material you may need to size the STL up or down by 1-2% in your slicer to get a good tight fit. Lastly, thanks a TON to Uija at the Elektronauts forum - he originally designed some brackets for his battery handle which used a custom charge circuit, and these designs are modified from his fantastic original designs. He did an amazing job and was gracious enough to let me share my derivative work with others.
