Elmer Fudd

Elmer Fudd

Elmer J. Fudd, a fictional cartoon character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies series, and an adversary of Bugs Bunny. His aim is to hunt Bugs, but he usually ends up seriously injuring himself and other antagonizing characters. He speaks in an unusual way, replacing his Rs and Ls with Ws, so he often refers to Bugs Bunny as a "scwewy" or "wascawwy (rascally) wabbit". Elmer's trademark phrase is "Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits" In 2020, Warner Bros. announced that Elmer will no longer have a gun. In a new short titled "Dynamite Dance," Fudd uses a scythe as he chases his nemesis Bugs Bunny. To honor this change, this model contains an optional scythe that you can use interchangaebly with the gun. The following is a placeholder for the Buggs model that will be paired with Elmer to complete the full iconic scene with Bugs' finger in Elmers gun (or scythe if you prefer):(link to be inserted here) No supports are required. One piece contains built-in supports, an optional part without the built-in supports is also supplied if you want to use your slicer supports. If you have the proper filament colors, no painting is needed. The assembled model is 220mm tall. The head is presented with built-in supports as well as an optional piece if you want to use your slicer supports. Only the tips of the ears would need supports. 2 - There are some pieces that may need brims or rafts, use your discretion. When setting up my prints I prefer to be conservative, especially since the base of many parts are hidden when inserted into another part. For the smaller parts, a good first layer is helpful. *I used brims on: hand_right hand_left gun_barrell arm_right arm_left shirt_bottom scythe_blade (optional weapon) scythe_handle (optional weapon) 3 - Looking at Elmer Fudd pictures I found that his colors varied somewhat, especially his gun. So, choose your colors as you see fit. 4 - Fun fact. I had some Paramount3D PLA Military Brown from five years ago and ran out while printing this model. I ordered some more filament and the color was identical, as though it came off the same run. ..Assembly tips: 1 - Take your time gluing the model together and enjoy the process. 2 - I used E6000 sticky craft glue to put this model together. The sticky glue allows more time to position the parts than a fast drying superglue. I have 'fat fingers' and a shaky hand, so the sticky glue works out best for me, especially with small pieces. Just remember to leave enough time for the glue to set before combining too many parts. 3 - I glued the gun together but did not glue it to the hands. It should fit in position with just a slight snap. This will also ensure that the gun is positioned correctly when placed against the Bugs model. 4 - The optional scythe snaps into the right hand but is not snug enough into the left hand to hold it into position. You can glue this in, or add a bit of double sided tape to the left scythe_handle where it goes into the left hand. This will allow you to adjust it later to ensure it fits perfectly with the Bugs model. 5 - Be sure to insert the eye_blacks in correctly (left/right are different) and not upside down. They should fit easily and almost flush to the eye_whites. 6 - The belt goes onto the bottom of the shirt without needing glue. As you glue the shirt into the bottom parts, the belt will position itself and fit snugly. 7 - Since the model is top heavy, I glued the bottom of the model to the base and let it set completely before gluing in the head. 8 - Refer to the assembly diagrams in the pictures section as well as the uploaded pictures for putting the model together. The model is meant to be glued. Do not hesitate to ask questions, feedback is essential to making better models.
